Important Visitor Information:
Dogs and live animals are not permitted inside the Lighthouse building.
Commercial filming or photography is not allowed without prior written agreement. For professional or venue hire enquiries, please visit our Venue Hire page.

We take pride in welcoming visitors of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you're a local ora tourist there’s plenty to enjoy:
Icon - Lighthouse

From Hastings & Rye

Take the A259 towards New Romney. At the roundabout, turn right. After 4 miles, turn right onto the B2075 signposted for Lydd. Immediately after the bridge, take the left-hand fork. Turn left at the roundabout onto Dungeness Road. Continue for 4 miles, then turn right into Dungeness. You’ll find us at the very end of the road.

From the M20 (Junction 10)

Join the A2070 towards Brenzett and Lydd Airport. After 12 miles, turn left at the roundabout to join the A259. After 4 miles, turn right onto the B2075 for Lydd. Immediately after the bridge, take the left-hand fork. Turn left at the roundabout onto Dungeness Road. Continue for 4 miles and turn right into Dungeness – the Old Lighthouse is straight ahead.

From Folkestone

Follow the A259 and turn left at the New Romney traffic lights onto the B2071 (Station Road). At the T-junction, turn right. Continue for 5 miles, past the Pilot Inn. Turn left into Dungeness – we’re right at the end of the road.

Admission Prices Entry costs and what’s included.

We aim to keep entry prices fair and accessible for all. Here’s our current admission pricing:
Adults: £5.00
Children (5–15): £4.00
Students / Seniors: £4.50
Family Ticket (2 adults + 4 children): £15.00 Under the age of 16
Children under 5: Free
Schools: £3.50 per child, £4.50 per adult
Disabled Visitors / Carers: £3.00 per child, £4.00 per adult
Concessionary Entry
ATAK Members: Free entry (with voucher)
Lighthouse Keepers Association: £4.00 (with card)
RHDR Staff: £4.00 (with ID)
Blue Light Card Holders: £4.50 (with card)
